THE IMPORTANCE OF SEX EDUCATION AMONG SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

ABSTRACT
This study was designed for the purpose to examine the importance of sex education among secondary school students in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State. The study was broken down into four chapters. Chapter one which was the introduction to the study showed the purpose/objective of the research question, significance of the study and well formulated hypotheses. Chapter two deals with the review of related literature to the study. In addition, the relevance of sex education to the student’s moral lives was also discussed. Chapter three discussed the methodology of the study, the research design, and populace of the study, sampling technique, research instrument, validation, and reliability, method of data collection and method of data analysis. Questionnaire was used and it contained twenty (20) items. The data collected through the questionnaire was analyzed in chapter four using percentage to analyze case. The four hypotheses formulated for this study were analyzed and tested using Z-score method. Chapter five deals with the summary, conclusion and recommendations this study found the importance of sex education to secondary schools as a great importance to the students and the society at large.
