Perpetrators of Various Forms of Examination Malpractice part two
7. The Society: The Nigerian society views certificate as evidence or proof of knowledge, rather than skills exhibition. Every parent is eager to see his/her child obtain 5 – 10 credits at O’ Level at a sitting. We all are in a hurry, and so pay extra for the children to go to rural areas to register for examinations where cheating is at a very high rate.
Perpetrators of Various Forms of Examination Malpractice
Examination malpractice is perpetrated by most stakeholders in the education sector of our nation. They include:
1. The Students: The primary culprits in this menace are the students themselves. Students are no longer hardworking, they have little or no interest in studying to know and studying to face examination on their own, they lack concentration, during studies, have poor study habits and are generally restless, lazy and easily distracted by activities in the environment. Most students care less about culture of hard work and academic excellence, and so become ill-prepared for most examinations. Students no longer have confidence in themselves to write and pas any examination, without cheating. Dishonesty has become the order of the day, while honesty during examinations is no longer a virtue to covet by students. Dishonesty in examination halls is now an acceptable behaviour and life style.

Concept of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a diverse set of technological tools and resources used to communicate and to create, disseminate, store, and manage information (Blurton, 1999). This means ICT help in the storage and management of information. Ayo (2001) also defined ICT as the use of computer system and telecommunication equipment in information processing. ICT as described by Scott (2002) encompasses a range of applications, communications and technologies which aid information retrieval and research communication and administration. These include: internet access, electronic mail, CD-Roms, telephone, online databases, library services and machines. It has become a global phenomenon of great importance and concern in all aspect of human endeavour spanning across education, government, business, labour market, shares, productivity, trade, agriculture, commerce and others.

ROLE OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) IN THE EFFECTIVE TEACHING OF MATHEMATICS IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS
Abstract
The study was designed to ascertain the role of information and communication technology (ICT) in the effective teaching of mathematics in secondary schools in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State. To direct the study, three research questions were stated.
The Notion of Standard in Teaching
One standard common notion in teaching is that “if the learner has not learned, the teacher has not taught”. This view is helpful in drawing the attention of the teacher to the important task he has to fulfill as part of his contribution to nation building. The major task is to ensure that teaching and learning are effective and progressive in order for students to discover their potentials.

Early marriage in this study is a marriage that takes place at early stage of a female.

Socio-economic status or background can be said to be the related income of parents, their occupation, and their level of education. The socio-economic background of a family tells us the social class the family belongs to on the social pyramid and the kind of wealth, rights, obligations, powers, privileges and so on.

PSYCHO-SOCIAL FACTOR INFLUENCES CHOICE OF TEACHING
Introduction
Background of the Study
Nationally and internationally, education is a paramount importance because it fosters sustainable development. Studies have shown a strong correlation across countries between level of human capital formation and level of educational development and it is often used as one the major indicators of national development (Fadun, 2008). Education as a tool for the empowerment and sustainable development is indispensable both to the individual and the state at large.
