PSYCHO-SOCIAL FACTOR INFLUENCES CHOICE OF TEACHING PART 3



  Purpose of the Study

        This study aimed at determining the extent to which females teaching and career development among students. Specifically, the study will:
1.  Find out the extent of socio-economic status of home influence teaching as a career.

2.  Determine the extent which early marriage influence teaching as a career.
3.  To find out the extent marital obligation influence teaching as a career.
4.  Find out the extent parental level of education influence teaching as a career.

Significance of the Study

        The research work was motivated by the rapid rate which females engage in teaching at present, especially in Delta State particularly Warri with increase of private schools. Precise, the study will reveal the problems faced by females in choosing teaching as a career. The study is expected to provide lasting solutions to the problem.

        The study will be benefited by parents, female students, educationists, the curriculum planners, school administrators and the societies. The parents will benefit from this study and it will help to create job opportunities reducing unemployment rate in the society. It will help the female students as a teacher in their marital homes care for their children. The educationist, the curriculum planners it will help them to check rate of drop out in the society, and help the planners to adopt the best curriculum that will suit the abilities of teachers.

        Finally, the finding would be of help to the education stakeholders i.e. the government, parents, teachers and the society at large. It will be of great assistance to them by reducing the unemployment in the society. This study aimed at determining the extent to which females teaching and career development among students.
