        The world is rapidly becoming a global digital society. At the heart of today’s globalization is the ease with which information moves around the world, providing opportunities for ideas, innovations and lifestyles to get easily spread to different places and people on the globe and central to this is Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Schools as social institutions are bound to be affected by the dynamics of the society in which they operate. The curriculum of the school which is the vehicle through which the schools hope to accomplish their goals will be susceptible to such changes associated with advantages in ICT.



The study was designed to ascertain information and communication technology competence for senior secondary school agricultural science teachers in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State. To direct the study, three research questions were stated.



This research work investigated the influence of parental socio-economic status on students’ academic performance in selected senior secondary schools in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State. Simple random sampling method was used to select five public and five private senior secondary schools for the research. The research instrument used for data collection was a structured questionnaire which was administered personally.

-      Creating public awareness for Information and Communication Technology and encouraging students’ interest.
-      Integrating Information and Communication Technology in all subject areas in the educational system.
