Data Analysis
From table 1 and 2 above, one could see that 49% of the respondents strongly agreed that buying of school requirements are not promptly provided for children from broken homes.
41% agreed on it, while 6% and 4% disagreed and strongly disagree respectively. Analysis on question 2 which says that most children from broken homes suffer financial hardship through school shows that a total of 45% strongly agreed, 38% agrees, while 17% disagreed.
Question 3 which say that children from divorced home are not stable at home and in school shows that 47% strongly agreed, 27% agreed, 7% remain neutral, while 14% and 5% disagreed and strongly disagreed respectively.
Question 4 says that children from broken homes are scattered and could not stay in one place to continue their education 33% strongly agreed, 50% agreed while 11% and 6% disagreed and strongly disagreed respectively.
Question 5 says children from broken homes spend more years in school due to lack of stable parent care 26% strongly agreed, 53% agreed, while 14% and 7% disagreed and strongly disagreed respectively.
Question 6 says that when adolescents witness their parents divorce, they suffer a deep disillusionment that will sour their view of marriage, 33% strongly agreed, 15% agreed, 4% remained neutral, while 8% and 4% disagreed and strongly disagreed respectively.
Analysis on question 7 data says that 33% strongly agreed that children who are independent after termination of their parents’ marriage constitute social hazards to their parents and the society at large. 54% agree, 2.4% stayed neutral, 8.2 disagreed and 2.4% strongly disagreed.
Question 8 says children from divorced homes will do better if left in the custody of their mother than the father. 29% strongly agreed, 57% agreed, 2% remained neutral, while 7% and 5% disagreed and strongly disagreed respectively.
Question 9 says broken marriage contributes to most of the Juvenile delinquency in the society. 27% strongly agreed, 48% agreed, while 6% and 19% remained neutral and disagreed respectively.
Analysis on question 10 data says that 28.2% strongly agreed that children from broken homes suffer unintentional deficiency. 49.4% agreed, 2.4% remained neutral, while 14% and 6% disagreed and strongly disagreed respectively.
From table 2 of children’s questionnaire, one could see that the question 1 which says that most products of divorced marriage practice truancy in schools show that a total of 38% strongly agreed, 33% agreed, 6% was neutral, while 17% and 6% disagreed and strongly disagreed.
Question 2 says children from broken homes are more involved in examination malpractices. 29% strongly agreed, 21% agreed, 12% remained neutral, 14% disagreed and 24 strongly disagreed.
Question 3 says children from broken homes are more independent. 45% strongly agreed, 41% agreed, 4% neutral, 4% disagreed and 6% strongly disagreed.
Question 4 says most children from broken homes are victims of teenage pregnancy which leads to school dropout. 58% strongly agreed, 28% agreed, 8% disagreed, while 6% strongly disagree.
Question 5 which says that most children from broken homes are forced into early marriage, has 61.2% strongly agreed, 27% agreed, 1.2% neutral, while 8.2% and 2.4% disagreed and strongly disagreed respectively.
Question 6 which says children from broken homes are prone to prostitution and anti-social behavior 33% strongly agreed, 54% agreed, 9.4% neutral, while 1.2% and 2.4% agreed and strongly disagreed.
Analysis on question 7 data shows that 35% strongly agreed that children from broken homes lack proper up-bringing. 54% agreed, 6% stayed neutral, 4% disagreed and 1% strongly disagree.
Question 8 says most often children from broken homes take to separated marriage lack respect for elders 16% strongly agreed, 45% agreed, 7% remained neutral, while 27% and 5% disagreed and strongly disagreed respectively.
Lastly question 10 which say that every child from divorced home is destined to live a troubled life, 42% strongly agreed, 6% stayed neutral while 6% each agreed and strongly disagreed.
