        Table 4.3 above show the response of the respondents on the possible solutions to indecent dressing in higher institutions of learning. From the table it is revealed that 65% of the respondents agreed that parents should dress decently and act as role models to their children, while 35% did not agree. 60% of the respondents are of the view that dress codes should be introduced in higher institutions and given to all students, while 40% are of the opposite view. 80% of the respondents are in support of the view that the mass media should do more to promote decency in dressing among students, while 20% are of the opposite view. It was further revealed that 70% of the respondents agreed that religious institutions should always promote the culture of decent dressing, while 30% did not agree. 77.5% of the respondents are of the view that there should be formation of campus brigades to check the dressing pattern of students, while 22.5% are of the opposite view. This goes to show that it is the respondents’ opinion that all the factors stated are possible solutions to indecent dressing in higher institutions of learning.
Discussion of Findings
    Research question one was designed to elicit the responses of the respondents on the factors that influence indecent dressing in higher institutions of learning. Findings from the study revealed that it is the respondents’ opinion that the society, parents and their parenting, wrong usage of the internet, pressure from friends and the sinking values of our culture are factors that influence indecent dressing in higher institutions of learning. This finding is in agreement with Gushee, 2004; Omede and Odiba, 2000 who stated that the society, parents, internet, peer pressure and value of society are major contributors to indecent dressing.
    Research question two was designed to elicit the responses of the respondents on the implications of indecent dressing in higher institutions of learning. Findings from the study revealed that it is the respondents’ opinion that sexual harassment, campus prostitution, poor performance, lying, stealing and ritual killings are implications of indecent dressing in higher institutions of learning.
    Research question three was designed to elicit the responses of the respondents on the possible solutions to indecent dressing in higher institutions of learning. Findings from the study revealed that it is the respondents’ opinion that parents acting as role models, dress codes, mass media, religious institutions and formation of campus brigades are possible solutions to indecent dressing in higher institutions of learning.
