Table 4.1 above show the response of the respondents on the factors that influence indecent dressing in higher institutions of learning. From the table it is revealed that 62.5% of the respondents agreed that the society sees indecent dressing as a civilized way of life, while 37.5% did not agree. 70% of the respondents are of the view that parents and their parenting role influences students’ indecent dressing, while 30% are of the opposite view. 77.5% of the respondents are in support of the view that wrong usage of the internet is a contributor to indecent dressing, while 22.5% are of the opposite view. It was further revealed that 55% of the respondents agreed that pressure from friends tends to make students dress indecently, while 45% did not agree. 65% of the respondents are of the view that the values of our cultures are sinking gradually and this gives room for indecent dressing among students, while 35% are of the opposite view. This goes to show that it is the respondents’ opinion that all the factors stated influence indecent dressing in higher institutions of learning.

Table 4.2 above show the response of the respondents on the implications of indecent dressing in higher
institutions of learning. From the table it is revealed that 60% of the respondents agreed that indecent dressing often results in sexual harassment, while 40% did not agree. 72.5% of the respondents are of the view that indecent dressing results in campus prostitution and contributes to the spread of HIV/AIDS, while 27.5% are of the opposite view. 65% of the respondents are in support of the view that indecent dressing by students leads to poor performance in school work, while 35% are of the opposite view. It was further revealed that 65% of the respondents agreed that lying and stealing is majorly attached to students who dress indecently, while 35% did not agree. 62.5% of the respondents are of the view that indecent dressing among students often leads to indecency and to ritual killings, while 37.5% are of the opposite view. This goes to show that it is the respondents’ opinion that all the factors stated are implications of indecent dressing in higher institutions of learning.
