Introduction:

Climate change and agriculture are interrelated processes, both of which take place on a global scale (Jeremy, 2008), Climate according the World Meteorological Organization (2007) is the average atmospheric condition of a place. Climate can change over a period of time ranging from months to thousands or millions of years, the classical time period is 30 years.

ROLES OF ENTREPRENEURS IN WEALTHY CREATION AMONG YOUTH

1.    JOB CREATION: Entrepreneurship businesses create more new jobs than also larger business. In united state of America, one study suggested that entrepreneurship businesses may account for as much as 66 percent of all new employment each year Ijaiya (2007).
These types of businesses created new jobs at much faster rate than did large older businesses. For instance when new eatery or dry cleaning outlet is opening in Nigeria, it created, some ten or more new jobs because so many new business are created each year, the cumulative effect of new jobs being created is large or significant. Enterprises play a key role in creating productive and decent work that helps meet the economic and social aspirations people and their communities whether small, medium or large enterprises, including co-operatives, they are a major source of growth and employment in all countries. Enterprises and the entrepreneurs who run them play a crucial role in creating job and reducing poverty.

SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS’ PERCEPTION OF THE CAUSES OF EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE

ABSTRACT
This study investigated secondary school students' perception of the causes of examination malpractice in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State. to direct the collection of data, two research questions and hypotheses were raised and formulated. The population for the study was compromised of five government and private schools in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State. A sample of three hundred (300) respondents was selected using stratified random sampling technique. Research instrument in the form of questionnaire was drawn up for testing the population. In analyzing the data, the researcher used mean and standard deviation to test the research questions, while t-test statistics was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. Data from the study revealed that bad peer group can influence the cause of examination malpractice as perceived by students. Based on the findings from the study, some recommendations were made.

INTRODUCTION
Background to the Study
    The study focuses on secondary school students' perception of the causes of examination malpractice. Evidence abound of increasing incidents of examination malpractices by students at schools and colleges, which conflict the core purpose of education – the training of the mind and character for the acquisition of practical and theoretical skills, knowledge and functional ideas for development, and the search for truth and knowledge and the creation and communication of ideas (Nanna, 1977; Peterson, 1988 as cited in Aaron, 1992).
    In Nigeria, there first publicly reported case of examination malpractice occurred in 1914 when there was a leakage of question papers in the senior Cambridge local examination. Ever since, there have been cases of irregularities reported on a yearly basis. The outstanding years were 1963, 1967, 1970, 1973 etc. (West African Examination Council, 2004). The major forms of examination malpractice reported are: impersonation, bringing in foreign materials like books, calculators etc., substituting work scripts, collusion in the examination hall (copying), mass/organized cheating involving assistance from teachers and outsiders, and insult/assault on supervisors/invigilators (Oluyegba & Daramola, 1992). This trend in examination malpractice is inimical to academic development and advancement and need to be drastically addressed.

This study investigated the attitude of teachers towards continuous assessment in secondary school in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State. A total of 180 respondents made up of reading teachers and students were selected for the test. The cluster sampling technique was used in the selection. Among the major objectives of the study were the determination of the relationship between teacher’s continuous assessment and student’s performances in examination and influence of teacher’s years of teaching experience on their conduct of continuous assessment. Data collected were subjected to statistical analysis using the correlation procedure. The result revealed that teacher’s years of experience did not significantly correlate with their conduct of continuous assessment. The students continuous assessment was observed to be significantly correlated with the students performance in their examination based on the findings, some recommendation were made to guide teachers and educational administrators in knowing why they should improved in their positive attitude in order to have an effective teaching and learning process.

1.1    Introduction
It is quite obvious that continuous assessment plays an important role in our education system. The roles are enormous in teaching and learning process.
The advent of Western Education in Nigeria gave birth to formalized modes of examination that were conducted internally within the schools and externally by agencies, external to the student. Hence we can state briefly that previously we have been used to two form of assessment internal and external examination.
The usually practice is the usage of internal examination to prepare students for the end of schooling examinations, in these situation records of students performance in internal examination are not usually kept beyond a particular year or class. Once notable feature of the external examinations is that they are one shot examination. The result form it is used to pass summary judgement on the student learning and achievement.
As these one-shot examinations are used for assessment of the success of an educational programme and of the learner in the teaching learning situation, they acquired a very threatening and anxiety provoking flavour (Ohoche 1983). A lot of opposition have been laid against the previous system of assessment. It is on these basis that we have our new procedure.
