Abstract
Science and technology changes the educational
system, it is for the betterment of human kind. Science is known as a “tool”
for better understanding of natural phenomena whereas technology as a “tool” to
increase productivity and reduce cost of production in any type of industry.
Knowing full well that the development of science and technology has a lot of
advantages even in educational sector, this paper work answers the questions of
technological ethics and values at all levels for example the
realization that the misplaced or misused of military technology may result in
human tragedy, advancement in genetic engineering (e.g. human cloning or
transfer of genes etc) may conflict with moral values and ethics of the
society, negative impact of ICT/Internet such as pornography, security, copying
and pasting instead of doing your own work, plagiarism and piracy; mass
destruction by nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, problems related to
global warming or greenhouse effect, intellectual property rights, and so on.
This paper work also pin points the goals of occupational safety and health in
the prevention of diseases in workers, the situation that have ethical implication
that most affect workers like; identification and communication of hazards and
risks by scientists, authorities and employers, Workers acceptance of risk and
establishment of medical screening programs.
