The educational level of parents goes a long way in influencing the academic performance of their children. According to Stevenson (1984) the higher and educational status of the parents the greater the degree of parental involvement in school activities, the younger the age of the child the greater the degree of parental involvement and children of parents who are more involved in school activities do better in school than children with parents who are less involved.

The Concept of Examination Malpractice

Examination malpractice has been defined variously by many authors; some ten (10) definitions/views are presented here:
i. Chukwuemeka (1982) referred to examination malpractice as violation of examination rules and regulations by candidates.
ii. Aliyu (1996) looked at examination malpractice as an irregular behaviour related to the examination exhibited by candidates or anybody charged with the conduct of examination in or outside the examination hall before, during and after the examination.
