2016 GLO 3GB BIS Subscription Code and New Price

Don't be surprised when you are trying to renew your Glo Conmonth plan and you received a message that you do not have enough credit to perform the operation. Glo Comonth of 3GB for 1k has been
the cheapest plan ever and it has been a lifesaver plan for Android device users.

With deep regret in our heart to tell you that Glo has recently increased the Comonth plan of 3GB from N1000 to N1400. The reason for this increment remained unknown and Glo has not officially issued any official statement to this development.

If you still want to continue using this same Glo bis plan on your Android device, load your Glo sim with N1400 or N1500, then dial *777# and follow the instruction on the screen.

Glo Nigeria offers a variety of internet data plans you can subscribe to using your Android smartphone or j2ME phone. The bundles are categorized based on their validity periods which means their expiry time length. There are plans for 24 hours (1 day), plans for 7 days

'Validity' means how long the subscription will last.
'SMS to 127' describes the code you would send to 127 to activate the plan.
'USSD Code' is the alternative method to activate the plan by dialing a code.

Update (Nov 14 2015): Glo increases data capacity of monthly plans. The 'Always Micro' data plan has been increased to 1.2GB for N1000. other affected plans include My Phone, So Special, Always Min and Always Max which were all increased to match the change.

Glo     Flexi     Bundles

A little bit of clarification here. The Glo Flexi plans are better enjoyed with modems for use with a computer. The plans with double validity triggers (e.g 100 hours or 30 days) means that the bundle will expire when one of those two time frames is reached. Note though that the first time frame (100 hours) is only counted during internet use while the other is counted as normal, this means that if you use the internet for only 1 hour in one whole week , your count would be 1 hour / 7 days.
100 hours (internet) or 30 days, whichever time frame is hit first, the bundle will expire.

Earlier last month, I made a post on how to use Glo Bis on Non Blackberry Devices, but unfortunately only few people were benefited while it wasted other people's money. Their are Two Method to make it Work on Android Phone

Method 1 To Use Glo Bis On Android Phone

Make sure you subscribe to it on a blackberry phone,

Then Insert that SIM to your Android phone.
Configure the APN of your Android phone with blackberry.net and activate it as your default setting.
Switch on your data connection (H won't display yet).

HOW TO DISABLE WINDOW 10 UPDATE

For some of use who do not have unlimited internet access, it’s very crucial to manage, not only how applications connect to the internet, but also how our OS handle system updates. Default Windows 10 settings doesn’t really leave you much choice, updates will be downloaded anyway whether you like it or not. Microsoft probably sees this as a good security measure hiding the options we used to have on previous versions of Windows but the truth is that not everybody wants to automatically download updates. Especially not in this part of the world.

Windows 8 uses P2P to distribut Windows updates using your internet connection and we talked about how to disable that Before.

You can set your connection as a metered one from the network settings and Windows shouldn’t download updates with that particular internet connection but not everyone knows this. And not everyone who knows this remembers it.

Obviously, the best option is either disabling windows updates totally or choosing when to download and install updates.

Totally disabling Windows Update

This is a bad idea. You should know that if you do this, you system won’t receive even crucial security updates and patches. This may leave your computer insecure and I’m sure you know what the consequences may be. There’s a better option mentioned later in the article but if you still want to proceed, here’s how to do it:
1. Press Windows button + R on your keyboard to start a run command
2. Type services.msc and hit Enter
windows run command
3. Scroll down till you see Windows Update. Right click and choose Properties.
windows update service properties
4. Under startup type, select disabled:
disable windows update on windows 10
Click OK. Windows update service is now killed and your PC won’t check for updates anymore. As mentioned before, this is not a very good idea. You’ve been warned.

The Better Option: Choosing When to Download & Install Updates

With this option, you can choose when to download and install updates. Instead of burning your allocated data bundle when Windows automatically download updates, you can choose to  update your OS only when you’re on a free WiFi connection you’re not paying for.
This doesn’t work on all versions of Windows. It works only on Windows 10 Professional, Enterprise and Education versions.
You probably need Administrative privileges since you’re using the Group Policy Editor.
1. Press Windows button + R on your keyboard to start a run command
2. Type gpedit.msc and hit Enter
3. From the sidear, go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update
4. On the right pane, locate Configure Automatic Updates. Right click and edit.
local group policy editor
5. Choose Enabled, select Notify for download and notify for install. Click OK and you’re set.
configure automatic update on windows 10
With this done, Windows should only notify you when updates are available. You can then choose to download and install whenever you like.

Opera to offer free Wi-Fi via WOW car in India

The WOW car will hit the road in phases, first covering the northern belt of India. After Agra, the WOW car will travel around Lucknow. Its next stops are Kanpur, Varanasi and Allahabad.

NEW DELHI: Opera Software has launched Web on Wheels (WOW), featuring a specially-equipped WOW car that provides free Wi-Fi access to those in range.

Over the next 10 months, the WOW car will travel across India, covering 20 cities. Agra, the city of Taj Mahal was its first stop. The car was stationed at multiple locations, such as Raja Mundi, Paliwal Park, Sadar Bazar, St. John's College, among other notable locations throughout the city.

The WOW car will hit the road in phases, first covering the northern belt of India. After Agra, the WOW car will travel around Lucknow. Its next stops are Kanpur, Varanasi and Allahabad.

Opera hopes to encourage new users to get online and experience the internet from their mobile phones, the company said in a statement.

The WOW car will offer 20 minutes of free internet access to users. There is no limit to the amount of data that can be used during this time or the websites and apps that can be used with this free internet service.

"Today, almost everyone has a mobile handset that is capable of accessing the internet. However, many users are reluctant to use the mobile internet due to a lack of awareness or the perceived high cost", says Sunil Kamath, Vice President for South Asia & South East Asia at Opera Software. "We hope Web on Wheels can help in lowering the barriers for new users to come online."

"At Opera, we strive to bring the web to everyone. This year marks our 20th anniversary. With Web on Wheels, we want to give something back to our users and hope to help more people see how fun and educational it is to be on the web," adds Kamath.

More than 55 million users in India already use Opera web browsers. Opera Mini is a fast web browser that shrinks webpages by up to 90% of their size, helping users save on mobile data. Opera is also taking the Web on Wheels initiative as an opportunity to engage with its millions of users from India's Tier II and Tier III cities.

How to outsmart your cunning mother-in-law!

EVERY time Ireti visited her mother-in-law, her teeth were always on edge. Ruth, her mother-in-law is now in her mid 70s, frail and ailing, but as full of spite as when Ireti married her precious son 15 years ago.

“Ruth and I had always been at war,” confessed Ireti, “but Gboye, my husband was unaware of this. He’d been the result of an affair his mum had with a wealthy industrialist who bought mother and son a house, but kept the ‘embarrassment’ of a love-child away from his family. In spite of this shabby treatment from Gboye’s father, Ruth was always throwing his name around and telling people how much money he lavished on her. Ireti said, “After the man died, when Gboye was in his teens, his mum had poured all her love onto her only child. No wonder he worshiped her. Her frailness never concealed her razor-sharp tongue, especially when we’re alone together.

“Gboye and I had gotten married when, we met abroad, so I was already a mother of two when we came back home. The first time I met her, she became hostile as soon as her son left the room, and instead of being intimidated by her hostility, my back was up! Who did she think she was? I was in the kitchen when she’d whispered to Gboye that he should have married a more suitable wife—only she was loud enough for me to hear. On our way home, I’d warned that if she would continue to be unfriendly, I wouldn’t visit any more. But Gboye pleaded I should be patient with her that she was just over-protective of him. That was hog-wash as far as I was concerned, and by the time I’d known her a couple of years, I’d realized how devious she was. To everyone else, she was a sweet old thing who doted on her son. To me she was vicious! My pounded yam was always lumpy. The house not clean enough and the children (now four) rowdy. I hated her as much as she hated me. Only, there was this silent agreement to pretend to get along for Gboye’s sake. That was why I swallowed my rage at her catty digs, plastered on a fake smile when she visited. ‘It’s a relief to see both of you get on so well,’ Gboye had observed with pride on our way from one of our visits to her. I bit my tongue hard to stop me from disagreeing with him.

“Shortly after this, Gboye dropped his bombshell—Ruth couldn’t be trusted to live on her own. Her health was failing and he would love for her to live with us. What? On a permanent basis? All I know was that we’d be at each other’s throats all the time if we lived under the same roof—that calculating dragon was bound to drive me round the bend? The news so caught me unawares that I burst into tears. Gboye was alarmed. Didn’t I want his mum living with us? he asked, confused. “Of course I do,” I lied. “The thing is, I’ve been having my own health problems lately and what with work and the children, I sometimes feel everything’s just getting on top of me.”

Gboye was now really concerned. He wanted to know what was wrong and I’d had to invent a disease, symptoms of which a friend recently discussed with me. He consoled me and seemed to have forgotten about wanting his mum to live with us. But I knew it would be a matter of weeks before that witch would bring up the topic again. Discreetly I visited Gboye’s uncle who had always been nice to me and who was aware of the hostility between Ruth and I, and cried my heart out to him. He told me to dry my tears. His house was virtually free now the children were grown, and Ruth would be more than welcome to live with him and his wife. They had a couple of servants and I promised to chip in at the expense of Ruth’s upkeep but he waved off the offer. He then suggested I shouldn’t say anything to Gboye, he would make it look as if it was his idea.

“It was a relieved Gboye who came home a couple of days later to tell me what a wonderful option his uncle just suggested to him. Relief surged through me but I quickly hid it as we got ready to give Ruth the good news. ‘I’m glad she would be looked after by her younger brother’, Gboye enthused. ‘She’ll be fine, and knowing her, she would adjust in no time’. I’d won this battle! As we discussed the option of her moving in with her brother, she glared with pure hatred at me—but I looked through her. I wished I could stick out my tongue at her in triumph. Fancy living with that kind of a woman and for God knows how many years! People like her seldom die easily!”

Five (5) Reasons Why Bride Is Happier Than Groom During Wedding Ceremony

Bride express great joy during wedding ceremony by dancing, kissing d groom continuously, etc.

The groom is also happy but can't be compared to the level of bride because he knows the task ahead.

So the reasons why a bride is happier are;

1. Financial trouble is over:
She knows her man will foot the larger percentage of the bills. So whether she is rich or not, her financial responsibilities will be taking care of.

2. Free from disgrace: Women know how to bad mouth their counterparts who is due or overdue for marriage. When u see a new bride, you will see this radiant joy in her flaunting her wedding ring and no lady can bully her.

3. Fulfilment: Men feel more fulfilled when they achieve financial breakthrough. Women are fulfilled when marry the right man. There is this DREAM COME TRUE written on bride's face during wedding ceremony.

4. Respect: Bride express happiness especially when they marry a successful man and bearing his name automatically brings respect in her life. For example, marrying awolowo, otedola, adenuga, etc.

Note: For groom, the salute title doesn't change(Mr.) but for bride, it changes from Miss to Mrs. Now tell me why she won't be more happy.

5. Wedding gown: Bride wears wedding gown once in her life but groom can wear his tuxedo after the ceremony which is not the first time in his life he is putting on a tux.

You can Add your own reasons under the comment section.

How do i Identify A Scam Interview Invitation

Many at times complains are being received from all over the states and even beyond on  their ordeal in the hands of fake scam companies who invite people for interview only to introduce them to fake drug marketing business.
I'm doing this not only because these companies waste people's time, energy and T-fair going to such interviews, but also because most of these scammers extort money from hapless job seekers thereby making their suffering times two.

Imagine a scammer extorting #10,500 from a graduate who have been unemployed for years, not to talk of the transport fare wasted going to such fruitless interviews or job chat as they usually call it.
Some people even borrow money to pay these sheep in wolves clothing, who promise them heaven on earth. Some will tell you that you will make half a million within 1 month and all that. If you're not careful, you will take a loan that you will not be able to repay thus causing embarrassment and lack of rest of mind. An unemployed person should have only himself to worry about, not having debts also.

So I believe that if we are properly guided, we will not fall into the hands of these scammers.
Having said that, there are ways by which one can identify a fake or scam interview invitation and there fore avoid such waste of time and money. The good thing is that most of their messages come in the same format, so you will know its fake!

1. The message does not bear a company name: most of these scammers won't include their names on the message you will receive. All you will see are the address, the time and date and a phone number. A genuine company will not hide its identity from a potential employee.

2. The message will say "interview/job briefing": whatever job briefing means I don't know!
3. You will see a code or reference: something like "HR=0056" or "REF=002". This is an indication of the code number of the person who invited you to the "job briefing".
4. It will contain a phone number: this is the number of your referer. Most genuine companies don't give phone numbers.
5. You will see HR Admin in the message instead of company name
6. If you call their number, they will be reluctant to give info on the company.

And pls, ignore those people sharing job flyers on the streets, and those ones they paste on walls. Those are scammers and some ritualists too. And also most of these so called agencies are avenues for duping unsuspecting job seekers. Pls shine your eyes well well.
I will post the names of some of these fake companies/ agencies later.

Pls if you have any experiences inthe hands of these scammers kindly share it here so that others can learn and avoid them too. Thank you

Cheers!

HOW TO TRANSFER AIRTIME ON GLO NETWORK (Glo Me2u)

Many Glo subscribers are not aware of the Glo Me2u airtime transfer. It is used by Glo subscribers to transfer airtime from one Glo number to another. Follow the steps below to transfer airtime:
STEP 1: To activate, simply dial *132*00000*New Pin*New Pin again#. Note that those zeros are the default pin. Assuming you want to use '12345' as your PIN, simply dial *132*00000*12345*12345#. You will receive a notification on your phone asking you to confirm the PIN. To accept, press 1, or press 2 to cancel.
STEP 2: After STEP 1 is successful, you can now begin to transfer airtime. To do this, dial *131*the beneficiary glo number*amount*your PIN#.
Assuming you want to transfer N500 airtime to 08051234567 and your PIN is 12345. Simply dial *131*08051234567*500*12345#.  You will receive a notification on your phone asking you to confirm the transfer. To accept, press 1, or press 2 to cancel.
You can now share your airtime with these steps. Remember not to disclose your PIN to anyone.

GLO BLACKBERRY PLANS

Globacom Nigeria just has it N1400 monthly Blackberry plan data to be 3GB again, Glo Comonth Blackberry plan which was originally 3GB of data was suddenly reduced to 1.5GB of data few months ago.As we all know after the kick-off of Mobile number portability in Nigeria there have been a lot of competitions among the Telecommunication providers in the country.First Etisalat started with a N1000 naira Monthly Blackberry plan with unlimited data, MTN followed with N1000 Naira Blackberry plan with 3GB of data. All eyes were on GLO who offers the same blackberry plan for  N1400 with a data of 1.5GB, so I think this is one of the positive side of Mobile Number portability.

HOW TO MIGRATE TO GLO BOUNCE

Glo just introduced a new Prepaid Tariff plan called Bounce. It charges 12k/sec (N7.20/min) flat rate to all networks in Nigeria.
However, you can only enjoy this tariff offer after 40k/sec (N24) first 60 seconds call of the day. Other side attraction includes:-
* 30MB free data on every recharge of N200 and above and valid for 7 days
* 5k/sec to other Bounce numbers
* Free night calls (12AM - 4AM) everyday after spending N30 only
* N4 for all national sms

* N3 sms to other Bounce numbers
* N10 for international sms amongst others.
To register, dial *170*4# and press 1 to confirm
To opt out, dial *170*0#.

Now, this is where the honey of this Bounce plan lies!
There's what is called Campus Zone on this plan. It is a sub-plan within the Bounce plan. It means, you can never subscribe to the Campus Zone without first being a Bounce subscriber.
To enjoy the Campus Zone tariff, a Glo Bounce subscriber is expected to dial *170*9# whenever he/she is within any Campus in Nigeria. The tariff of the Campus Zone is 5k/sec = N3/min (all Glo calls) and 12k/sec N7.20/min (Glo to other networks) in Nigeria.

So, what are you waiting for? Dial *170*4# today, hop in and Bounce with Glo.
