The
findings from the study will be useful to cassava farmers, extension workers, government
and the society. The result of the study will help the farmers to adopt effective
modern technologies through
the agricultural extension agent in cassava production,
processing and utilization in Ebonyi State programmes which will equip farmers and
provide information to them through organized seminars and workshops.
The
finding of the study when cassava farmers perform better the society will gain
a lot and grow to be useful and responsible citizen agricultural extension workers
in information dissemination, modern techniques in cassava production and processing
and he various ways cassava can be utilized. The study; was limited to all the registered
cassava farmers from the three agricultural zones in Ebonyi State & extension
agent.
Research Questions
1. The
following questions will guided the study;
What are the methods employed
by the Agricultural Extension workers in dissemination information to cassava farmers
in Ebonyi State.
2. What
is the impact of information disseminated by extension workers on the
application of modern techniques to cassava production?
3. What
is the impact of information, disseminated by extension workers on the adoption
of; cassava processing techniques by farmers in Ebonyi State
4. What
is the influence of extension services on the farmers on their various ways of
utilizing cassava?
Hypotheses
The following null hypotheses will be tested
at 0.05 level of significance.
Ho1:
There
is no significant difference between the mean Responses of cassava farmers in Enugu Ebonyi East Zone,
Ebonyi Central Agricultural Zone and Ebonyi North Agricultural Zone and the
methods employed by extension workers on information dissemination in Ebonyi
State.
Ho2:
There
is no significant difference between the mean responses of cassava farmers from
Ebonyi east Zone, Enugu West Zone and Enugu North Zone on the adoption of
information disseminated to them by extension workers on modern techniques to
cassava production in Enugu State.
Ho3:
There
is no significant difference between the mean responses of cassava farmers in
Enugu East Zone, enugu West Zone and Enugu North Zone on adoption of
information disseminated to them by extension workers on modern techniques to
cassava processing in Enugu State.
Ho4: There
is no significant difference between the mean responses of cassava farmers in
Ebonyi East Zone, Enugu West Zone and Enugu North Zone on adoption of information disseminated to them by extension workers on
various ways of utilizing cassava in Ebonyi State.
