How 2face made Wizkid postpone his album release

2face Idibia is no doubt an inspiration to several Nigerian young Nigerian artistes.

One artiste who has been greatly inspired by 2face is Wizkid.

He was one of the guests who attended 2face’s all star tribute Concert titled #Fortified which held at Eko Hotel last weekend.

The honour and praises showered on 2face clearly got to Wizkid, who also desires to be a legend just like 2face someday.

After the event, the Ojuelegba crooner took to his Instagram page in an emotionally written post to announce that he has decided to postpone the release of his 3rd studio album which was meant to drop this month.

“I celebrated the legend 2face Idibia last night! Epic! It made me realize how much work I need to do. So I’m moving my album to sometime next year!’ But my EP drops next month! October! 10tracks! 10 videos! What a time to be alive!”

Possible Solutions to Indecent Dressing

The problem of indecent dressing requires an integrated approach because of its multifaceted causes. According to Nwabuisi (2000) the following are the possible solutions to indecent dressing:

1.    Parents are to serve as Role Models:

Children watch their parents and copy their ways of behavior. The behavior of parents impresses on their children more greatly than what they tell them either to do or not to do. Parents are to be obligated to their children by bringing them up properly and in the fear of God. They are to teach them the fundamental things they need to learn about correct values, attitudes and beliefs cherished by the society by being exemplary. Apart from being moral exemplars, parents should have time for their children. Children need the attention and love of their parents more than gifts they think they can buy for them as substitutes. Parents need to occasionally watch home videos with them,

REASONS WHY PEOPLE DRESS INDECENTLY

3.    Wrong use of the Internet:

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has helped to revolutionize the community tremendously. It has via the use of Internet, Communication satellites, mobile phones etc, helped to bring people together distance, culture or language notwithstanding. Through the activities of home videos, satellites and other media agents, values (faulty or correct), fashions (modern, modest and immodest) are traded across cultures and nations. In as much as ICT is helpful, consequential to human, and societal developments, the rate of abuse and the un-regulatory ways they are used call for great concern. Most of the youths and children that are exposed to some of their contents that most times are negative so quickly fall vulnerable. The parents of these children and their senior siblings in Diasporas are the ones promoting indecent and immoral practices and they are relayed through videos, pornography, and music as well as advertisement and fashion parades.

ABOUT THE AMERICAN AIRFORCE ONE

1."Air Force One" isn't technically a plane: It's simply the radio call name for any U.S. Air Force plane carrying the president of the United States. As soon as the president steps aboard an Air Force plane, that plane is referred to as Air Force One by the crew and all air traffic controllers, in order to avoid confusion with any other planes in the area. If the president rides on an Army aircraft, that aircraft is Army One, and whenever he boards his specialized helicopter, that craft is Marine One. Civilians generally refer to the physical plane itself as Air Force One

2.Today, there are actually two customized Boeing 747-200B jets that regularly fly under this designation. They are nearly identical and are almost as tall as a six story building, and as long as a city block.

3.Air Force One is one of the most recognizable symbols of the presidency. Emblazoned with the words "United States of America," the American flag, and the Seal of the President of the United States, it is an undeniable presence wherever it flies

4.Air Force One has unlimited range and can carry the President wherever he needs to travel. The onboard electronics are hardened to protect against an electromagnetic pulse, and Air Force One is equipped with advanced secure communications equipment, allowing the aircraft to function as a mobile command center in the event of an attack on the United States. The media refer to it as “The flying Oval Office” or the “ The flying White House”. On September 11th, 2001, the president's plane showed that it was much more than an executive jet -- it became a mobile bunker when all ground positions seemed vulnerable to attack

5.Airforce One has four General Electric CF6-80C2B1 jet engines, which provide 56,700 pounds of thrust a piece. The top speed is between 630 and 700 miles (about 1,126km) per hour and the ceiling maximum (i.e how high the plane can fly) is 45,100 feet (commercial 747s fly at about 30,000 feet)

6.The plane carries 53,611 gallons (about 203,000 litres) of fuel and weighs 833,000 pounds (about 377,000 kg) fully loaded for a long-range mission. With a full tank, the plane can fly half way around the world. The plane has mid-ir refueling capability. As with the B-2 and other combat craft, in-flight refueling gives Air Force One the ability to stay up in the air indefinitely, which could be crucial in an emergency situation
7.Inside, the President and his travel companions enjoy 4,000 square feet of floor space on three levels, including an extensive suite for the President that features a large office, lavatory, and conference room. The president has onboard living quarters, with his own bedroom, bathroom, workout room/gym and office space. Air Force One also includes a medical suite that can function as an operating room, and a doctor is permanently on board. The plane’s two food preparation galleys can feed 100 people at a time

8.Air Force One also has quarters for those who accompany the President, including senior advisors, Secret Service officers, traveling press, and other guests. Several cargo planes typically fly ahead of Air Force One to provide the President with services needed in remote locations

9.The two planes are military aircraft, designed to withstand an air attack. Among other things, the plane is outfitted with electronic counter measures (ECM) to jam enemy radar. The plane can also eject flares to throw heat-seeking missiles off course.

10.The plane is completely off limits to Many. Even visiting politicians and journalists aren't allowed in some parts of the plane, and the Air Force is careful to conceal specific details of the craft's layout including its advanced avionics and defenses

11.One of the most remarkable feature on the plane is its extensive electronics. It has 85 onboard telephones, a collection of two-way radios, fax machines and computer connections. It also has 19 televisions and assorted office equipment. The phone system is set up for normal air to ground connections and secure lines. The president and his staff can reach just about anybody in the world while cruising tens of thousands of feet in the air. The onboard electronics include about 238 miles of wiring (twice the amount you'd find in a normal 747). Heavy shielding is tough enough to protect the wiring and crucial electronics from the electromagnetic pulse associated with a nuclear blast

12.Air Force one is a military aircraft, designed to withstand an air attack. Among other things, the plane is outfitted with electronic counter measures (ECM) to jam enemy radar. The plane can also eject flares to throw heat-seeking missiles off course. Some of the most interesting parts of the plane -- its advanced avionics and defenses -- are classified

13.Every Air Force One flight is classified as a military operation, and it is handled as such. Air Force crews at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland carefully inspect the plane, and the runway, before every flight. When it's time to head off, the Marine One helicopter brings the president from the White House to Andrews Air Force Base. Teams all over the base keep an eye out for any unauthorized craft in the area and are authorized to shoot on sight. In advance of every Air Force One flight, the Air Force crew sends C141 Starlifter cargo carrier planes, toting the president's motorcade, to the destination. This collection of bulletproof limousines and vans, loaded with weaponry, keeps the president safe on the ground.

14.Air Force One can comfortably carry 70 passengers and 26 crew members . These crew members are carefully screened military personnel, with exemplary service histories. Even the crew members who prepare meals must operate with a high level of security. For example, when buying food, they must hit the stores undercover, and they must select markets at random, in order to protect the president from a poison attack. Onboard the plane, the crew provides 24-hour first class service.

15.Most presidents form close connections with their flight crew, and the final Air Force One flight is always an emotional trip.

Eko 2012: Ondo swimmer wins gold, battles for life

The atmosphere was similar to what fans experience at  international champion-ships. Ambiance was superb and the crowd enjoyed it and showed this with ceaseless cheering the moment the swimmers took the plunge.

The swimming poolarena was full last night at the ongoing Sports Festival in Lagos. Fans even gate-crashed  for seats.

Lagos had a fan club that produced soothing music for their swimmigers and Ondo’s Ibukun Adamolekun benefited from it and thesupport of fans whose cheers appeared to be inspiring all in the pool.

In the beginning of the final of 200 m Butterfly for women, Ibukun took a comfortable lead at the first and second laps.

She appeared to be coasting to the gold even on the third lap. But Emutimu Duke of Delta gave her the chase of her life and alsmost caught up with her in the final lap.  Emutimu surprised all and she was cheered on.

But Ibukun would rather die than lose the gold that once appeared an easy one before the hot chase. She gave her all and still won it but it was not as easy as she impressed in the beginning.

She was exhaused and while celebrating her hard earned gold she saw herself gasping for breath and was falling back into the pool before she was quickly rescued. She signaled danger and called for help.

She collapsed and the medical team battled to revive the fanited swimmer. The arena turned quiet and people prayed that tragedy be averted. After about five minutes, Ibukun was revived and the fans cheered the gold winner as she was taken to the medical room for further attention.

“It was an interesting event’’, veteran swimming coach Steve Onyeacholam said. ‘’If I went fast early I would have probably beaten her but I was cautious not to brun out early but by the time I realised the gap was wide.

It was late for me to catch up’’, regretted Delta’s Emutimi. More than one hour after the event, officials were yet to release times of the swimmers, a low point for them.

‘’You are causing me tension’’,  replied an official in charge of recording  the times when asked to supply times recorded  by swimmers in the events.

Boko Haram member sends letter offering dialogue

Gunmen, yesterday, launched an attack on the headquarters of the  Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, Abuja believed to be holding suspected Islamist extremists, killing two officers and leading to the escape of 30 detainees.

Police authorities, however, claimed to have re-arrested 25 of the 30 escapees and said no one being held on “terror-related charges” was freed.

The attack on the Special Anti-Robbery Squad compound in the pre-dawn hours resulted in a gun battle, with police claiming to have repelled the assailants and arrested two of them.

It was not immediately clear who was behind the attack. The raid was similar to others carried out by Islamist extremist group, Boko Haram.

However, a statement signed by Force Spokesman, CSP Frank Mba reads: “In the early hours of today, November 26, 2012, at about 2am, unknown gunmen in large numbers attacked the premises of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Federal Territory Police Command.

Policemen on duty responded swiftly and engaged the gunmen in a gun battle that lasted for some minutes, at the end of which the gunmen were successfully repelled.

“However, in the confusion that ensued, about 30 suspects in the detention facilities of SARS broke out of the cells and attempted to escape.  Tactical and coordinated efforts to re-arrest the fleeing suspects yielded instant result.

So far, 25 of the suspects have been re-arrested, while five suspects originally being held in relation to robbery related offences are currently at large.  Two Policemen died during the operation while two of the attackers have been arrested.

“It needs to be emphasized here that no suspect held for terror related charges, escaped from SARS detention facilities.  No explosive or IED-related materials were used in the botched attack”.

Meanwhile, the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, has personally visited the scene of the incident to assess the situation. He has equally ordered a high-powered investigative panel headed by a Senior Police Officer to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Members of Boko Haram have carried out scores of attacks in northern and centralNigeria, including police stations and sometimes with the intent of freeing jailed members.

A visit to the scene, revealed that the main gate outside the police unit was heavily guarded. There were two armoured vehicles, six police trucks and more than a dozen armed policemen.

It was not immediately possible to determine whether the complex had suffered damage.

On Friday, the military offered hundreds of thousands of dollars in reward for information leading to the capture of leaders of Boko Haram in a statement that listed 19 alleged senior members of the group.

The rewards ranged from N50 million ($317,000, 245,000 euros) for the suspected leader, Abubakar Shekau, to N10 million for various Boko Haram “commanders”.

Gaza Rockets From Iran's Technology, Iranian General Says

Iran has supplied Hamas in Gaza with the technology to "quickly" produce longer-range missiles on their own without needing direct shipments, said a report Wednesday that quoted the head of Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard. The comments by Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari offer some of the clearest insights on Iran's weapons support for Hamas, whose Iranian-engineered Fajr-5 missiles have struck near Tel Aviv and Jerusalem during weeklong battles with Israel.

"Gaza is under siege, so we cannot help them. The Fajr-5 missiles have not been shipped from Iran. Its technology has been transferred and (the missiles are) being produced quickly," Jafari was quoted as saying by the semiofficial ISNA news agency.

Iran has repeatedly denied it directly supplied Hamas with the Fajr-5. The ISNA report gave no further details on the level of missile know-how sent to Gaza or the channels used.

Israel charges that Iran sends weapons, including rockets, to Gaza through a network of smuggling tunnels under the 15-kilometer (9-mile) border between Gaza and Egypt.

Iran also backs the anti-Israel faction Hezbollah in Lebanon, which fired thousands of rockets into Israel during a monthlong 2006 war.

Iran's parliament speaker, Ali Larijani, meanwhile, said his country was "honored" that Iran could help Palestinians with "material and military aspects." He did not elaborate.

He criticized Arab countries for failing to help arm Hamas and other Palestinian group. "The Palestinian nation does not need speeches and meetings. Arab countries should send military aid," he was quoted as saying by the semiofficial Fars news agency.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei also chided other Muslim nations for not rallying behind Gaza in the latest showdown with Israel.

"Some of them sufficed with words, and some others did not condemn" Israel, Khamenei said, according to the official Islamic Republic News Agency.

Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes in Gaza over the past week in an operation it says is meant to stop daily rocket salvos by Gaza militants at Israel.

Iran and Israel are bitter enemies, and the two nations are locked in a deepening dispute over Iran's nuclear program. The West and others fear Iran could eventually produce nuclear weapons, and Israel has left open the option of staging a military strike at its nuclear facilities.

Iran says its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes such as power generation and cancer treatment.
