    EBSU Admission Requirement - 2016/2017

Gaining Admission into the Nigerian Universities now has become a thug of war as the procedures for admission that we are conversant with is no longer the way it use to be after the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB)  scraped the Post-UTME Examinations being conducted by Universities after writing Jamb.

The scrapping of the Post-UTME Examination is definitely a welcome idea but as a result, the universities now have a different and more difficult for prospective students to gain admission.

Ebonyi State University is not left out in the matter.

Right now, we have been receiving a lot of question from our fans if EBSU will be writing post UTME as it were before.

According to the news update, It was however said that all institution including Ebonyi State University has been given a serious command and warning NOT to  conduct any form of oral test or computer test. In addition to that update Admission requirement was released which should also be applied in EBSU Admission Requirements for 2016/2017.

Note that, this year  Admission is been programmed to be based on three pillars:
    1. Merit Catchment
    2. Educationally disadvantaged states
    3. Merit

However, all applicant should note that  the 2016 admission requirement for EBSU would NOT require the conduct of another test either written or oral, as it were now  candidates would only present their Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE)/Advanced Level results for verification and clearing purposes, adding that WAEC, NECO and NBTE results or their equivalent are acceptable as matriculation requirements.

For candidate who took part   in EBSU Pre-Degree programme, should note that the chances of gaining admission also increases, because you will be asked to present your o-level result as well.
All candidates MUST have at least 5 Credits, Including Maths and English. And that the credits MUST be in line with the course that candidate wants to study.

Meanwhile,  candidate that does not possess those requirements as listed above should know that he has  automatically  failed the screening and will not be admitted.

Now, its time for you to check if really you will be offered admission in Ebonyi State University, then you have to visit JAMB official website to “Check Where you have been posted for Admission Consideration” whether its EBSU or another institution.

Reasons why Nigerian Parents doesn't like Internet for their kids

Nigerians are privy to how parents are always referring to the past with pride when admonishing children for either good or bad behavior. The phrase is ‘In my time…And as a cultured child, you have to listen to them even if it is absentmindedly.
We all dread these sessions with our parents.

This said this is the exact attitude being displayed by parents towards technology generally and the internet specifically despite its seeming advantages. They frown at the way the internet is radically changing children and the society at large.

This has led some parents ‘beefing’ the internet. As an internet or web savvy person, you will disagree as the benefits of the internet far outweigh the negatives. So, what are these grievances Nigerian parents have against the internet?

    Spending hours online

Forgive our parents, there was no Facebook or social media in the 70s and 80s. They concentrated on their studies which is why they always pass in flying colours! But, today, their grievance is that you spend hours fiddling with your phone when you have books to read and pending chores. They just simply shake their head grieving for ‘this generation’.

    Easy access to adult content

Just punch in any keyword related to pornography in your search engine, within a few minutes, you have access to millions of contents. With the rise in the use of mobile phones and crashing internet data prices, it has led to an increase in the number of people addicted to pornography. Because you can be discreet with the way you watch mobile porn. Consider these general stats- The average age of first exposure to porn is 11 years old, 25% of online search engine requests are related to sex and 35% of all internet downloads are pornographic content. And the numbers are rising…

    Decline in socio-cultural values

Parents mourn the decline in socio-cultural values. Young Nigerians dress indiscriminately, the craze for money which has led to increased online scams (yahoo yahoo) and the dearth of morals. The internet is a key contributor to this.

    Early adoption of phones

Today, children are learning fast and with the internet revolution, parents cannot deny them phones. This is why many young chaps own sophisticated phones with internet access. But the question for the parents are – at what age should a child use a phone? What type of phone should a parent buy for children?

    Loss of human touch

Parents are on their own especially when their children are grown. Their children barely visit. They prefer to either call or chat. The internet has simply made many Nigerians lose human connection or touch.

Reasons not to worry when you forget your Phone at Home

This is quite unthinkable for you to leave your phone at home. In is the 21st century and the era of the technology evolution where a phone is as important as the air you breath in. You can make and receive calls, access the internet and do a plethora of things with your phone. Despite this, you may inadvertently leave your phone at home. It is difficult but if it happens, we share 5 reasons not worry too much if you leave your phone at home.

    No distractions

While driving, working or exercising, your phone can be a major distraction. It may ring, constantly receive social media or text notifications. And of course, you may want to catch-up with trending news on social media and your favourite website. But without your phone, you will be able to concentrate and focus.

You will be able to connect with people

For many people, phones take most of their attention. They don’t listen when they are communicating and very few people visit friends when they can simply chat. If for a day you leave your phone at home, you will no doubt have quality conversations, especially with friends and co-workers.

    Enjoy your vacation

A break from work can easily be ended by a phone call. This is why some employees go incommunicado when they are on leave or vacation. So, be grateful if you forget or leave your phone at home. It is no cause for anxiety.

    Peace and quiet

Phones ringing, listening to music via Bluetooth headphones and a temporary break from social media. These are the things you enjoy when you are with your phone. A day without your phone will help you experience peace and quiet of your ambience and observe what is happening around you.

You will save money on call cards

Forgetting your phone may be another way to save money in this economic recession. If you calculate the cash you spend on call cards, you will be glad you forgot your phone even though it can be very inconvenient for you.

Why you need a Multifunctional Mobile Cable

A multi-functional Mobile cable is one of the devices a phone geek should go with. This is affordable and very necessary. The Multi-functional Mobile device is a cable with
one end being a USB Port and the other end a number of ports, It can serve as a charger to your phone of any type. Any Type.
It can also be used as a USB port to transfer data in between phones or in between phones and Laptops Computers.

Instead of carrying multiple chargers for your phones, you can just get for your self one of these and you are on the go.

It can come as a Car charger or a normal phone charger.

    The imprtance of Wireless Headphone

The wireless headset or otherwise called headphone is a phone gadget that is controlled by Bluetooth enabling you to answer to your calls remotely and also play music from your phone using the device. It is as the name sound: A headphone that does not need wire. You don't have to use wire again to interface with your phone.

Wireless headphones are a great addition to any computer lover, music listener, or even television watcher’s entertainment system. There are many benefits to the comfort and convenience of wireless headphones, whether the consumer is on the go or at home.
Its importance can never be over emphasized and its as listed below

    Importance of Headphone

    • You don't have to carry your phone about while in the room or in a confined environment. This is because the headset notifies you of an incoming call and you can pick-up the phone with the headset.
    • Playing music with the headset or headphone bring out the full beat in the music giving you and awesome feel of entertainment.
    Other benefits includes:

     Convenience

Wireless headphones are simply more convenient than traditional headphones. When consumers use regular wired headphones, they are tethered to the spot they are in, and cannot roam freely around the house or outdoors. With wireless headphones, they can be worn and more freedom is given to the wearer. They are comfortable, and they offer the buyer long distance listening, which standard headphones cannot do.

They are also better at filtering out unwanted noise, and have a higher quality of audio than standard headphones. The consumer is getting a first rate listening experience when they are using wireless headphones. Also, it is a great option for the buyer that wants to watch television while kids are being noisy, or a mom that wants to listen to music while she does chores and moves about the house.

    Easy to Use

Wireless headphones are easy to use and simple to operate. Even the more elaborate models can be easily operated and people and kids of all ages can benefit from using them. Whether rechargeable batteries or standard batteries operate them, headphone batteries are easy to change out and the headphones are simple to wear because they are lighter in weight than traditional headphones.

They may also offer all of the controls buyers needs right in the headset, without having to approach the base of the headphones. This makes volume control, microphone buttons and speakers even easier to use.

    Exercising

Wireless headphones are invaluable for consumers that like to listen to music or watch television while working out. Nobody wants to stop a workout just to untangle his or her headphone cords. Eliminate this mess by using wireless sports headphones when working out. Buyers can listen to their MP3 player, CD player, television, or stereo whether they are at home or on the go with some wireless headphones.

The buyer also does not have to miss out on taking an important phone call while exercising; Bluetooth capability on some wireless headphones makes grabbing a phone call while jogging on the treadmill very easy and convenient with just the simple push of a button. Wireless headphones for exercising can be small and compact so they are lighter on the head than regular wireless headphones.

    Sturdier/More Functional

Wireless headphones are simply more functional than regular headphones. They can perform a multitude of tasks without half of the equipment. A good pair may be costly, but it is a great investment that everyone in the family can use. Instead of competing noise in the home, some family members can listen with wireless headphones to a video game or television show.

Wireless headphones may also last longer than traditional headphones. Without cords to break, tangle up, and get lost, the headphones may outlast the buyer’s last pair of regular headphones. They are made of high quality materials and are built to last for the long haul. They are also sturdier than ear buds and more comfortable, providing the listener with an all-encompassing audio experience that makes it seems as though he is enveloped in the music. They also do not fall out of the ears or fall off easily like some traditional headphones.

Benefits of Standard Headphones Vs. Wireless Headphones

When it comes to the benefits of wireless headphones, they are head and shoulders above the competition, which is old-fashioned, regular wired headphones.

     Standard Headphones

     Wireless Headphones

Buyer is tethered by how far cord canl go Free range of movement
May fall out or off while buyer is moving
    Not as comfortable
    Fit over the ear securely
No chance of falling off the ear or out of the ear
May let in other outside sounds Superior noise cancellation benefits
Volume control on base of equipment Volume control inside headset for convenience and ease of use
    May not last very long
Cords become broken, tangled, or lost
    No cords to worry about
Product can last longer and there is less chance it can become broken

ASSESSMENT OF VIBRIO CHOLERAE FROM HOUSEFLY

ASSESSMENT OF VIBRIO CHOLERAE FROM HOUSEFLY

    ABSTRACT

Cholera has persisted in Abakaliki Metropolis since its recent outbreak. Etiological studies suggest that the natural habitat of V. cholerae is the aquatic environment. Its ability to survive within and outside the aquatic environment makes cholera a complex health problem to manage. Once the disease is introduced in a population, several environmental factors may lead to prolonged transmission and secondary cases. An important environmental factor that predisposes individuals to cholera infection is sanitation. In this study, we exploit the importance of two main spatial measures of sanitation in cholera transmission in an urban city, Abakaliki.

How to track your Car or Pets with phone App without Installing Tracker

With Over 1.5 Million Units Sold Worldwide, This is The Most Affordable Solution to Find Your Lost Items!

Have you ever lost your car on a parking lot? It happens. You park and go shopping. When you get back, you don't have a clue where your car is. Then you start roaming around clicking on the panic button on your car keys so the alarm goes off. It can be frustrating, especially on a
    hot, sunny day.

No, you don't need to install an expensive GPS system to keep track of your car. That's way too expensive. You would need to pay a monthly subscription fee just to use it. Don't we have enough bills to pay already?

But is there a way to track your vehicle without spending a fortune? Yes, now there is!

A California-based startup company was able to make this a reality. They created a tiny device that works with your smartphone, and it could be exactly what you're looking for!
    What is it?

It's called TrackR. It is a state-of-the-art tracking device the size of a quarter. It's changing the way we keep track of the important things in our lives.

    How Does it Work?

It's easy! Install the free TrackR app on your smartphone, connect the app to your device and you're ready to go! Simply attach TrackR to whatever you want to keep tabs on. The entire process of setting it up only takes 5 minutes or less.

You can attach it to your keys, briefcase, wallet, your latest tech gadgets and anything else you don't want to lose. Then use the TrackR app to locate your missing item in seconds.

"This device has saved me tons of time and money!"

Forget expensive GPS systems or tracking services. Nobody wants to pay expensive monthly subscription fees. We understand how stressful these things can be, and this is the reason why TrackR was created. This device is your VIP when you need to take care of more important things in life.

Remember the car scenario above? If you have the TrackR, you can just hide it under your car's floor mat, in the trunk or in the glove compartment. Somewhere it won't be found if your car gets stolen.

If you forget where you parked your car, whip out your smartphone and open the TrackR app. Tap on the "find device" button on the screen and the app will tell you the exact coordinates of the last known location of the TrackR.

How Much is it Going To Cost Me?

You're probably thinking that this device is very expensive... False! TrackR only costs $29! That's a small price to pay for peace of mind, isn't it?

What else can I do with TrackR?

As we said before, TrackR has unlimited possibilities. The device is small and unobtrusive enough that you can attach it to your pet. Put it on their collar, and the issue of searching for them as they scamper off to nearby places will be over! Attach it to your keys and wallet, and never waste a minute rummaging the whole house for it.

TrackR even comes with a double-sided adhesive so you can stick it to your laptop or under your bike seat. Track down and punish the thieves who steal your expensive things!

Attach it To Everything That's Important To You...

Now that you've been informed about this brilliant invention, let me show you how easy it is to track your valuable items. All you need to do is to follow these 3 steps:
    •  Step 1: Order TrackR today to take advantage of the 50% OFF sale.
    • Step 2: When you receive it, open the package and place the thin battery inside the device. Then download the free TrackR app on your smartphone and link up the unit with the app. Finally, hide TrackR in your car or attach it to the item you wish to track.
    • Step 3: Relax... Use the TrackR app to find your things. It's easy!

Here's a tip: TrackR is a great gift idea because there's no monthly fee involved!
